PARENTING THROUGH ADOPTION CONFERENCE2015
CAFFA is pleased to announce that we will begin planning our Spring 2015 conference shortly. Our event typically draws approximately 400 people, including prospective adoptive and foster care parents, folks already parenting through adoption/foster care, adoption professionals, birthparents and adult adoptees.
The day's features include:
Full Day of Workshops
Bookstore / Retail area
Breakfast & Lunch
We Need Your Help! This event is planned entirely by volunteers and is eagerly anticipated by the Adoption Community. In order to ensure another successful conference, we need more hands on deck to help us with planning, organizing, and executing the event. Participation can be long term (chairing a portion of the event, for example), or short term/ project based (brochure mailing, folder assembly, volunteering at the event itself, etc.).
If you think you may be interested, please send an email with your contact information to Shilaateducation@caffa.org. Please include your areas of interest and availability. All offers of help are genuinely appreciated.
CAFFA is pleased to recognize the Winner of our 2014 Scholarship Essay Contest! We received many applications and read the stories of so many talented young people—the decision was not an easy one. In the end, we selected an essay that we felt uniquely captured the spirit of the question:
“Please tell us about yourself. Include information about your family and how adoption and / or foster care has touched / shaped your life. How will your background impact your future-your goals & dreams?
We are pleased to announce that the Grand Prize Recipient of the 2014 Scholarship Essay Contest is Anthony Pullano!. We hope you’ll take the time to read his stories… Click here to read about it.
